Safaricom plans to monetise customer location data, seeks platform supplier

Tuesday 7 January 2020 | 09:37 CET | News Kenyan operator Safaricom is seeking to pre-qualify suppliers of a location tracking and intelligence platform, signaling its plan to monetise data from its customer base, Business Daily reported. Safaricom has invited bids for a service to build profiles of customers based on their locations and telephone usage.
